Meant for discussion about or between members of Minn-StF, the discussion list Natter is basically a chat list intended to serve the following purposes: 1. Discussions of Minn-stf events and general other stuff. 2. To provide a place for discussions started by posts to the events mailing list to go, in order to leave that mailing list lower in traffic. Examples of this usage include things like: "Where's a good place to buy ice skates for the skating party?" or "Which theaters where Galaxy Quest is showing have the best screens?" Announcement of events should not be posted to this list, but to the events list. If you are on this mailing list, you must also join the events list. Please do not send messages to both natter & events as everyone on natter should also be on the events list. Natter is an unmoderated mailing list. (However, messages sent to the list from addresses that are not subscribed to the list are sent to the list-owner for approval before appearing on the list.) Using Natter
To post a message to all the list members, send email to natter@lists.mnstf.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Natter
Subscribe to Natter by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
